Peptides
Peptide therapies studied for use in weight management, insulin sensitivity, joint recovery, inflammation, sleep, sexual health, hormone support and more. Prescription-only, provided on request after a doctor's consultation at our licensed clinic.
What peptides are
Peptides are short chains of amino acids that act as signalling molecules in the body. They carry instructions between cells and can influence specific functions such as metabolism, tissue repair, hormonal balance, sleep and inflammation. The body makes many of its own peptides, and some have been studied and developed for clinical use.
Used medically, a peptide is chosen to target a particular pathway rather than to work across the whole body at once. Because they are prescription medicines, peptides are only appropriate after a doctor has reviewed your health, your goals and your suitability. This page describes categories of use only. We do not name specific peptides online, as that is a conversation for your consultation.
How the process works at Live More
Peptide therapy here is doctor-led from start to finish. It is prescription-only, and it is prescribed and administered by our licensed Thai medical doctors, registered with the Thai Medical Council, at our Ministry of Public Health licensed clinic (licence 83101001366).
- Consultation. You meet one of our doctors to talk through your health history, goals and any current medications or conditions.
- Screening. Where appropriate, we arrange blood work and other checks so decisions are based on your own results, not assumptions.
- Individualised protocol. If peptide therapy is suitable, your doctor prescribes a protocol tailored to you, explains what it involves, and reviews progress over time.
There is no self-selection from a menu. What is right for one person may not be right for another, and that judgement sits with the prescribing doctor.
Who it is suitable for
Peptide therapy may be considered by adults looking for support with weight and metabolic health, recovery from training or injury, sleep quality, or aspects of hormone and sexual health. Suitability is always decided during your consultation.
It is not suitable for everyone. Peptide therapy is generally not appropriate during pregnancy or breastfeeding, and some medical histories, current medications or active conditions may mean it is not recommended. This is one reason screening matters: it helps your doctor decide whether the potential benefits are reasonable for your situation, and whether another approach may fit better.
Areas commonly explored
These are categories our doctors commonly discuss. Whether any applies to you, and how, is determined at your consultation.
- Weight management support. Peptide options are sometimes used as part of a broader, medically supervised weight and metabolic programme alongside nutrition and lifestyle changes.
- Metabolic health and insulin sensitivity. Certain peptides have been studied in relation to how the body handles glucose and energy, which may support metabolic goals.
- Joint recovery and inflammation. Some peptides are explored for their possible role in tissue repair and in modulating inflammatory signalling.
- Sleep. Because peptides can influence hormonal rhythms, some are looked at in the context of sleep quality and recovery.
- Sexual health. Selected peptides are studied for aspects of sexual health and libido, always within a doctor-led plan.
- Hormone support. Some peptides act on the body's own hormonal pathways and may be considered as part of a wider hormone-support strategy. Because peptides act as signalling molecules across many of these systems Muttenthaler et al., 2021, protocols are kept individual and clinician-guided.
Safety, prescription-only and licensed care
Peptides are medicines, not supplements. At Live More they are prescription-only and are prescribed and administered by our licensed Thai medical doctors at our Ministry of Public Health licensed clinic (licence 83101001366), after a consultation and appropriate screening.
As with any prescribed treatment, peptide therapy can carry side effects, and its suitability depends on your individual health. Your doctor will explain what to expect, what to watch for, and how you will be reviewed. We do not make guarantees about outcomes, and we do not offer peptides without the consultation and screening steps described above. If peptide therapy is not right for you, we will say so and talk through the alternatives.
What a first appointment looks like
Your first appointment is a conversation, not a treatment. You sit down with one of our doctors to talk through what you are hoping to achieve and your medical background. If checks are needed, we arrange them so any plan is grounded in your own results.
If peptide therapy is appropriate, your doctor will explain the proposed protocol, how it is administered, the likely timeline and what follow-up looks like. If it is not the right fit, they will tell you and suggest other options. You are under no obligation to proceed. To begin, book a consultation and we will take it from there.
Common questions.
- How much does peptide therapy cost in Phuket?
- Cost depends on the protocol your doctor prescribes and any screening involved, so it is confirmed after your consultation rather than quoted up front. We will explain the full cost before anything begins.
- Is peptide therapy safe?
- Peptides are prescription medicines and, like any prescribed treatment, can carry side effects. Suitability depends on your individual health, which is why we screen first. Your doctor will explain the risks and benefits for your situation.
- Who prescribes and administers it?
- Peptide therapy at Live More is prescription-only. It is prescribed and administered by our licensed Thai medical doctors, registered with the Thai Medical Council, at our Ministry of Public Health licensed clinic (licence 83101001366).
- Can I just come in and get peptides?
- No. Peptide therapy is only offered after a doctor's consultation and appropriate screening. This lets us decide whether it is suitable and, if so, tailor a protocol to you.
- Do you come to my hotel or villa?
- Peptide therapy is delivered in-clinic only, since it requires a doctor's consultation, screening and supervised administration at our licensed premises. Please book a consultation to visit us.
